Our ultimate purpose is to help men and women grow in their relationships with Christ...through their work!

About WorkMatters:

Do you realize that you spend 50% of your life working?

One-half of your adult life will be spent at work!

Do you want work to matter?

WorkMatters’ mission is to help you bridge the gap between faith and work. Launched in 2003 as a 501c3 non-profit in Fayetteville, Ark., WorkMatters is a marketplace focused ministry. Our staff members come from careers in the marketplace and have a passion to help men and women impact culture for Christ through their faith at work.

Unique marketplace ministries are targeted and tailored to Professionals (ages 35+), Young Professionals (22-35), and College Students (Juniors/Seniors). They are integrated so that each generation can influence and mentor the next generation!

WorkMatters resources are both local and global.

Locally … relational, face to face equipping and teaching.

Globally … web based resources, blogs, podcasts, videos, and social media.

Our Mission:

To bridge the gap between faith and work.

Our Vision:

To impact culture for Christ through faith at work.

Professionals:

Eight to Five has encouraged and equipped thousands of men and women in their life at work. Based on The Seven Pillars of Faith at Work, Eight to Five provides a monthly teaching and group discussion on the “how to’s” of faith at work, followed by a series of weekly Blog posts. The powerful monthly teachings are available via podcast on iTunes or our website.

Young Professionals:

Over a 10-year period, the next generation of leaders will launch their careers, likely get married and start a family… AND begin to truly own what they believe about God. ENGAGE is focused on helping this generation fuse their faith, work and life.

College Students:

Kairos teaches college students how to bridge the gap between the campus and marketplace prior to launching their careers. It is an intense summer intern program that provides juniors and seniors the opportunity to be taught and mentored through a LIVE, WORK, TRAIN, and SERVE model.

Leadership:

At WorkMatters, we believe strongly in leadership and excellence in whatever you do.  Each year, we host the WorkMatters Chick-fil-A Leadercast which is a live simulcast featuring world class leaders who impart leadership wisdom to challenge, encourage and inspire you.  We have hosted nine Leadercast events for thousands of business people through this region.

Our History:

Our workplace ministry began in April 2002 at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, Ark., as an outreach to workers to its own congregation. Within 18 months, WorkMatters had attracted the interest, enthusiasm and involvement of people across Northwest Arkansas. In October 2003, Central released WorkMatters to become a non-denominational, incorporated 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. At the same time, Board member David Roth answered a call to lead WorkMatters, leaving his position as VP, Sales & Marketing at J.B. Hunt Transport Services.
