2007 was the most impactful year in the five year history of WorkMatters! The number of people reached with our message, the impact of our ministry, our credibility, our awareness, our ministry model, our WorkMatters team, and our WorkMatters Board all took major steps forward in 2007.

Here is a look at the major points of emphasis:

Radio - WorkMatters Minute - was formally launched in 2007 following a market test in 2006. Over 50,000 listeners per week were exposed to this faith at work message. It has supplanted our Leadership Conference as our ministry element with the broadest impact.

Eight-to-Five Unplugged - we launched a second location in Rogers with strong attendance. We executed on 12 events in 2007. In addition to our website availability, we also launched an iTunes Podcast that makes these talks available around the world. Eight-to-Five Unplugged has supplanted the Leadership Conference as the ministry element with the deepest impact.

WorkMatters Leadership Conference - the 4th annual conference was our largest and most profitable ever. This conference continues to serve its original ministry purpose as a ministry outreach and an equipping for ethics, integrity and leadership.

www.workmatters.org - we completed a significant update to our website with a new homepage layout, updated content, and larger investment of time to ensure our website continues to be a content destination for faith/work seekers in northwest Arkansas and the world.

eNewsletter - "MyWorkMatters" - we converted our snail-mail quarterly paper newsletter to an on-line monthly newsletter. We achieved our objective to continue our push into web based content, fresher content, to reach more people via the web and reduce our costs.

Workplace Small Groups - our small groups continue to have major life impact. With the addition of Sam Bates, we refreshed our relationships with existing groups, worked very hard at starting new groups, and completed a year end Small Group analysis with recommendations for the future of this ministry.

Sam Bates - Sam's addition to our WorkMatters team has allowed us to revitalize our Small Groups ministry, significantly enhance David Roth's productivity and bring new relationships into the WorkMatters ministry. He has also been instrumental in shaping our vision for our emerging "Praying Matters" ministry.

Seven Pillars of WorkMatters - after one year of prayer and testing, we defined the Seven Pillars that we believe can usher people into intentional personal improvement in their faith at work journey.

Fundraising - we made major strides forward in 2007. We invested in "31 Days of Prayer" in August, and then set out to build a more professional and intentional development process. Q4 revenue doubled over Q4 2006. The impact we can have is solely dependent on the on-going generous giving of individuals and companies.

In an effort to create a more organized World Wide Web, the W3C has created many new Web layout standards. The key focus of their effort is to provide the best possible interoperability between the different browsing programs available.

In the days of the browser wars between Netscape and Microsoft, many hacks were propagated by the competing companies. However, today these hacks have done more to hurt the Web than to help the battling companies. By downloading and installing one of the programs listed above, the Web will be one step closer to eliminating these hacks and bugs.
