The fourth annual WorkMatters Leadership conference was held on Friday, May 11 and was our best ever. Nearly 1,000 business leaders representing over 125 companies across a broad array of businesses and organizations throughout Northwest Arkansas and surrounding region purchased tickets for this conference. The WorkMatters Leadership Conference site is by far the largest of over 600 simulcast locations across North America.

Feedback from attending leaders has been inspiring:

"This was my first WorkMatters Conference and it was absolutely inspiring. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the speakers and their message. I cannot begin to tell you how touched I was by certain statements or discussions and I cannot wait until next year. Keep up the awesome work, I am a believer now!!!"

"This was my third WorkMatters conference, and I believe it was the best, or maybe the Lord had prepared my heart to hear what the speakers had to say. I felt that the speakers spoke from the heart and spoke from their own experiences and insights. I appreciate the work and effort that goes into the conference and I felt that I came away with a renewed sense of how I can make a difference to those I work with."

This year's theme "The Influence Index: Increasing a Leader's True Value" featured renowned leaders from business, sports, and publishing. Speakers included INJOY founder and acclaimed leadership speaker, John C. Maxwell; best-selling authors, Mark Sanborn, Tim Sanders, Malcolm Gladwell and Jackie Freiberg; Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback, Terry Bradshaw; famous high school football coach chronicled in the movie "Remember the Titans", Herman Boone; Home Depot co-founder, Bernie Marcus, and one of the world's greatest social innovators, Bill Strickland.

With 33 companies sponsoring the event, the Leadership Conference was also successful in raising needed funds for the non-profit WorkMatters organization. David Roth, WorkMatters president said, "I continue to be amazed by the interest and response from individuals, companies and churches to invest their time and resources in becoming more ethical leaders at work, as well as at home. This leadership conference is a cornerstone of our mission to 'bridge the gap between faith and work.'"

Special thanks go to Fellowship Bible Church for their facilities, resources, and enthusiastic support and to our volunteers for their endless energy and dedication.
