The Workmatters Intitute has given me a new perspective and approach on how to apply my faith not only to my individual approach to work, but also how to use it to positively impact and lead my co-workers. It has changed the way that I want to communicate with and be an example to my team. I want them to be able to see the love of Christ in my approach to them in all we do.
I had twin daughters in 2020, and I had a hard time making the decision to return to work, and my perspective remained somewhat pessimistic about the need to work. My entire perspective on work shifted after I participated in WMI. I gained an understanding of the importance of continuing God’s work, and how each of us carries that work out. The class gave me complete peace about returning to work, as I began to understand that the work I was and am doing is for the Lord, while the work the childcare providers are doing for and with my children is for the Lord. Everything, the big and the small, is for the glory of God.
