From enemies and neighbors to the foreigner and stranger, the Bible teaches us to love without condition. Our ability to love is a demonstration to others that we are followers of Jesus (John 13:35).
1 John 4:8 is pretty straightforward. If you know God, you love. Nowhere in Scripture does it say who not to love. We are commanded to love. No qualifications, no conditions. We love. If this is true, what would the most unlovable people in our lives say about the measure to which we love them?
Who in your workplace is difficult to love? Why do you think that is? How would they describe your feelings about them? Find a way to learn something new about those who are different or difficult to work with. Building interest builds capacity for love.
